Since 1993, Ruth's passion has been focused on working with underrepresented groups, especially families whose second language is English, and children with developmental delays. This culminated in 2002 with Ruth founding Familias First.
Ruth is a frequent presenter at seminars and workshops sponsored by CALABA, ABA International, Fiesta Familiar, and Fiesta Educativa. Her work was incorporated in the Autism Parent Education Program (APEP). The APEP is used by Regional Centers to educate parents of children with autism on the various services they provide.
Supervisors: All have either a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a behavioral science or a related field.
They have a minimum of three years experience working with children with disabilities. Our supervisors receive ongoing training in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis. Behavior Specialists: All have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a behavioral science or related field. All behavior specialists have two years experience working with children with disabilities. |
